One of my friends who cooks at town in kaimuki Oahu told me about this new burger joint in waimea started up by a former chef at mauna kea beach.

Place is called village burger. It features local beef, freshly ground every day. All ingredients come from local vendors on island, so much so that they have a wall that lists their local vendors and how many miles away they are. The furtherest I saw was 122mi…..

Every time I see Bj on bjpenn.com returning to Hawaii and grinding kojis.. I get all hungry for the hamburger steak or chopped steak loco….

The other day I saw someone I think it was Nate post on face about kojis again so today I was determined to stop ere for lunch.
