This past weekend I got to check out a japanese movie premier that was happening in the tiniest town ever….. Seriously like two blocks and the town is pau….. Anyways, Movie is called Honokaa boy! A story about a japanese kid that just so happens to move to honokaa for a year and work at the peoples theater.  During his time there a town elder took a liking for him, he ended up fallin for a local girl and eating mad malasadas….

Leo Yoshida is the kid the moved to honokaa. As soon as he returned to japan he wrote a story about his experiences and published a book…… 6 years later a movie was produced.

Leo is also in the Fashion/Accessories business with his father Katsu Yoshida(the founder of Head Porter).  They have started a new line call Porter Classic and just opened a new shop in the ginza distric of tokyo.
